Just recently i set up a wc system, had really horrible 3/8 id tubing that was restricted to hell, plus it was kinking and caving in on the pump inlet. Now i'm using 1/2 id tubing and a tline, temps have barely changed... was 45 idle, now ... 42 or so idle.

I"m starting to wonder if maybe my as3 is bad. I bought it about 2 years or so ago when i put together a system with a 1.6a. Does as have a shelf life, especially after a bit has been used, then the rest not used for nearly 2 years.

Any advice would be really apppreciated
thanks

I could possibly see a re-application being needed if contact with the core was broken then re-established sometime after the first application of AS3.

If contact is not broken I wouldn't think it would go bad, as the main ingredient is micronized silver --as long as it's dried 'in place', filling in tiny cracks and crevices, it should work fine.

But breaking contact would probably make the AS3 not 'fill' all the holes right, if you see what I mean.

when i changed the tubing i took everything apart and put on new as3... i guess i shouldve phrased my question better.... will the stuff go bad in the tube?

I just used some AS3 on my new system that has been around for about 2.5 years and everything is fine. I'm running 29º at idle and about 36º at load on my 2.4 @ 3.2.
