What can i do about artifacting?
HIS x1950 Pro AGP
My card is at 46 C when artifacts begin on 3D application and all i know what to do is reboot and hope they don't pop right back up. Unfortunately, they appear almost immediately after a 3D application is launched. Surely 46 C is not a hot running card, or is it?
I have the new 7.5 CCC drivers but the problems have existed soon after I installed the card. Yesterday I turn down my clock speeds using ATI Tool and I am not sure if it helped or not. Artifacts did not appear after the turn down, but I have played for over 10 hours straight with the stock clock and never had a problem. It seems to be more hit or miss.
Will I need to contact HIS and talk to them? I have never RMA'ed and wondering if that would be a necessary step or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
