Im gonna remove the old AS2 from my cpu and wb, and gonna re-apply Artic Silver 5 .

I know darn exactly how my temperatures look like now, and would be pretty easy to spot differences.


Ill be back in 1 or 2 hours, might catch a beaver too :D
 
AS5 is totally weird compared to as2.

AS2 gives me 51C with prime95. (51C -10C is my actual cpu temperature, EPOX bios bug)

AS5 gives me in the first 10 minutes 57C.
Now after 40 minutes its at 53C.......

Im gonna re-apply it,, 53C is not good enough.
 
AS5 takes something like 200 hours or so to fully break in.

Dont trust me on the # of hours, but i konw it needs to break in
 
I did a compare of AS5,AS2 and ceramique. All three between 3-5c delta.
I screwed the pooch on my AS5 schmeer and experianced the same as you. When I removed my HS it looked like an air pocket was formed. Reschmeered the stuff and you do have to wait,cycle a while to obtain maximum results.

MB 25c

Still not really amazed, but its better now.
51C running 10 minutes.
 
Oh 51C isnt the real temperature, only some values that are reported :rolleyes:

The water is 27C now, and the waterblock probably 27C too.
Cpu guessing 35C-41C? (Load with prim95)

Idle is 38C reported , think thats 28C then
