Artic Silver improvements?

I'm getting ready to build my next box when the next AMD price drop hits this April, and I wanted a bit of feedback regarding the current generation of Artic Silver paste. I've got a tube of the first or second generation AS and aside from being conductive, it has served me well for many years. Is it worth the five or six bucks to move to AS5? I've still got plenty left, and wondering if the technology has improved other than easier application than the old stuff.
 
It might make a measurable difference in temps, not necessarily enough to warrant an upgrade on its own.

However, it does separate and settle over time. So yours might not be good anymore.
