Hello,
ive been using AS || ,, AS 2 that is, for quite a time. Works fine!

Now a month or 2 ago ive bought AS5, and I was very disapointed by the heattransfer propperties, it did not seem right. 50C load temperates, ive reapplied like 20 times but it did nt really got better at best 45C load with prime95.

Well, I got pissed and wanted to see how quick my sysyem would overheat when id switch of my radiator fans....... And I waited,, and waited..and after 2 hours I gave up!
Turned the fans up a little because the radiator was nearly too hot to touch and my silicone tubes started to become very fluffy :D

Then i noticed that my load temperatues finaly fel down to 42C !

My though/question: Good watercooling doesnt allow AS5 to settle in propperly!!??

Try putting a drop on the center and let whatever cooling you have spreaded evenly to the cpu...........just watch your temps go down after.........

goodluck

what i did with my AS 5 was to put a tad on the core then wrap my finger in plastic wrap/ziplock bag(a clean non used one of course =p) and spread it out evenly across the core then take the plastic i used and rub whatever "excess" came off into the bottom of the heat sink...about a week later temps become noticeably lower after its had time to settle and do its deal
