Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro

tried five of them in five systems and they are great

It should be fine, just don't expect to get massive clocks with it. It cools well, but there are much better high-performance heatsinks out there for serious overclocking.

I should be able to hit 3.0 - 3.2 Ghz though with this sucker shouldn't I?

(with good ram of course)

Most probably. Conroes don't put out too much heat, so you may even be able to hit around 3.4-3.5Ghz depending on your board. 3.6+GHz would be pretty much out of reach though.

yeh - think you'll do well with it for the money you gotta leave for it.

I've mounted mine on an AM2 4000+ (of course an Freezer 64 Pro) and I'm verry satisfied about the decent way it does it job.

Would be fine to hear how far you came.

with a core duo 2 cpu tho?
Tried one with a core 2 duo and overclocked it by 1ghz more , on load it is 43c , idle is 36c

That's about what I wanted to hear.

Awesome.. not bad for a $20 air cooler.

best bang per buck cooler out there,

I would have bought the same one for my new core 2 duo but I wanted to make the most out of with the money I budgeted for it. Also I thought let me get a universal one which I can use for after this system.

If the freezer pro is released with say more heat pipes and more fins it will bring a new winner in the game. Its quite old now and when it came out it was about $35 and because of it become big it has bought the price down , amazing or what.

I am going to be trying the scythe Infinity as soon as my motherboard comes , also bought the creative Gigaworks 7.1 speakers, time to change the sig
