I recently rebuilt my desktop/bedroom HTPC and upgraded to Win7 Pro at the same time. I replace my mb, ram, proc, and ps as I was having some unrelated issues before.

Since I did a fresh install of Win7 Pro, I cannot get MC to detect that I have an analog cable tuner. I am using a Hauppage HVR 1600. Whenever I go to set up my Tv Signal it only shows the Digital Tuner whether it be Cable (QAM) or OTA DIgital. It will not give me an option for analog cable.

This card worked perfectly fine with Vista so I'm not sure what the issue is. Also, it works fine in Hauppage's WinTV software. Anyone have ANY idea's?

I would have tried different Drivers, but on Hauppage's website, they only offer a single install package for ALL drivers (Xp, Vista, and Win7). When you run it, the software decides what drivers to install and never gives you an option.

I'm pulling my hair out trying to get this to work, so any idea's would be greatly appreciated!

The fact that WinTV sees the card seems to indicate to me that it's not a driver issue, but rather a Media Center issue.

It may be a MC issue, but I'm not finding anything in Google, or maybe I'm not using the correct search terms.

Yes, I have tried to run the Channel Setup, but it still only wants to let me set up Digital channels rather than Analog.

I even tried during the "Automated Setup" to use 00000 for my zip so it would not find any providers and would manually search (hopefully) for analog channels but still no luck.

Quick update--Finally got it working correctly. I removed the card and then cleaned all the existing drivers out including WinTV. After I re-added the card but Windows wouldn't find a driver on it's own. I finally found the original driver disc that came with the card and used a driver from there and now everything works correctly.

Thanks for the help folks!
