Armor Weight

I have found two conflicting weights for the armor. Since I am looking for the lightest full or mid, full in this case, tower I can find, I would like to know which weight is correct

On this page it says the Armor has a net weight of 16.2Kg

On a side note, the Shark is light but is the case decent? ANyone have the shark and care to share their thoughts on it
 
One case... Two weights... What next?
Actually the Armor has 2 models, one from steel, the other from the much lighter aluminum. Check newegg, the aluminum is much lighter, but a lot more expensive. No experience with the shark case, but i assum it's quality. Hope that helped.- Mark McLean

And your looking at a super tower case to be light? And talking about the armor?

You cant have your cake, and eat it too. It's big ... and heavy.
 
The armor and the shark are both great and lightweight cases.


I believe there is an alloy one and a steel one.
 
I have a steel armor case. specs in sig. also have a swiftch apex ultra kit hooked up to it.
all i can say is...its FRIGGIN HEAVY. i'll weigh it when i get home. im kinda interested myself to see what it weighs with the components inside.

I too was was leaning towards getting the Armor...though since i dont care about weight...ive recently been swayed towards the Antec P180
 
the black is steel, the silver is made out of aluminum....have no idea why they did this, but thats why one is much heavier than the other.

One of my friends bought an aluminum Armor for his new system. It was interesting to put together...not as easy to work with as I thought it'd be, but it sure is roomy.

One of my really good friends has a Shark, and personally I find it amazing. The door is literally the heaviest part of it, and it's ridiculously roomy inside (especially with a sleeved PSU). I'm a fan of the drive trays, personally, more notably the direction they go in - makes hiding those wires really simple. It's also extremely light.

Personally, if it were me, and you don't have a heck of a lot of drives, I'd go with the Shark; otherwise, the aluminum Armor's a nice choice. Definitely enough space to accomodate your needs.
