I'm a happy owner of the Thermaltake Armor+ case (details) but the side fan LEDs are searchlight bright and I'd like to convert the case over to UV lighting at some point anyway (I've already purchased the light kits).
I thought that the easiest thing to do would be to replace that fan, but apparently it's a 23cm fan, which is a nonstandard size. I've never done any window modding before, so I don't want to crack the panel up by reshaping the hole for a standard fan. I've also never done any DIY case wiring, so I'm a bit nervous about replacing the LEDs in the old fan directly.
Anyone want to advise a course of action? I'm considering just painting over those LEDs and calling it a day, but I might not be able to get to them without smearing paint all over the fan housing--which is clear, of course. I've also looked at replacing the whole window with one with a larger fan hole for a more standard-size large fan, but Thermaltake windows are hard to come by apparently.
