What's the latest regarding roadmaps for these guys? For example, if LSI is soon to release 3rd generation hardware, then I would guess Areca might be shortly behind them, since they use LSI ROCs.

My 1680 is getting long in the tooth here...
 
I am wondering the same thing. The 12gbs HBA have been available. Seems like MegaRaid should be around the corner.
