Areca 1680 Incomplete Array

I have an Areca 1680ix-24 controlling 48 SATA disks (3 RAID arrays), some via an Areca SAS Expander card. I also have the Areca battery-backup unit.

Windows froze and I had to hard-power the machine. When it came back online, one of the RAID arrays was incomplete. The Areca event log showed 2 drives were missing from that array (slots # 6 and # 13).

One of the "missing" drives (slot # 6) was identified as having been "removed", while the other (slot # 13) said it was connected but not part of the array (i.e., it was a "free" drive).

Further, the log has two entries for "Lost Rebuilding/Migration LBA".

I disconnected the "removed" drive (slot # 6), then reconnected, and it now is listed as part of the array.

However, I can't seem to get the other drive (slot # 13) to be added back to the array -- I tried to remove and reinsert it, but it still shows as "free".

This array is RAID 6.

I appreciate any advice on how to proceed.
