areca 1220 or 1222

Hi guys....

considering my target:

- OS bootable - raid 1 (#2 WD SATAII Enterprise HD)
- DATA - raid 6 (#5 WD1002fbys SATA II enterprise hd)

where OS+DATA availability is the most important think.....

I cannot chose between the areca 1220 and 1222.

They got the same exact price on newegg....

Can you help me to take a decision... also based on your personal experiences

I'd pick 1222. Faster ram and minisas connectors make things a little cleaner.

Or LSI 9260-8i which is basically the same price and has a newer controller, SAS 2/ SATA support and twice the onboard cache (no out of band management though).

I was thinkin to get the 1222 too .... but I only have great experiences with 1220...even if it is older.

Is any of you using it (1222) with the hardware scenario that I will be facing to
