Since i m going to wait on E6600 to arrive. For time being i purchased Pentium 915, it runs at same clock speed as Pentium 920. I am using this chip with GIGABYTE GA965p-DS3 I m not sure what is the Real different. But 915 runs really cool to me astonishing at Stocked COOLING same cooler that came with my old Pentium 955 EE and i have OC it to 3.4GHZ stable. Looking at the Voltage and Temp I am sure this chip have v good OC potential. But it doesnt matter anyways too late, CONROE is here :)

IDLE = 36c
49C = MAX LOAD
Voltage @3.4ghz 1.08 ONLY

But here is strange thing, its based on STEPPING C1.

Isnt this new Revision which first introduced in Intel Pentium 965 Extreme Edition like 3 months ago?

Doesnt these results look good ?

it's probably reading the voltage wrong....

Try 4ghz... if you have good cooler...

I managed to get my 805 to 3.7ghz using air cooler without much of a sweat...

I am using 1.29 V setting from BIOS confirmed. I figured out that reason its using less voltage and TEMP is bcuz its using new C1 Revision which intel recently introduced in their 965. But i never knew that intel had only 2 Versions of Regular Pentium D CPU based on C1 Revision . One of them in 915 and i think other one is 945? . I am really surprised to see some goodies about C1 Revision in 915 and begining to like INTEL and the way are going. KEEP IT UP INTEL.

just OC it to 4.17 GHZ and its running really STABLE. The Temp didnt increase from 49c LOAD. BTW I am using Artic SIlver 5 on INTELs stocked HSF. The thermal paste that comes on Intel stocked HSF really sux.

Check it out! LOOK at the Temp. new Revision really makes a difference.

You should back off with the stock sink... It probably stress the CPU...

What the hell is the difference between 915 and 920?

I just found out that , only PENTIUM 915 and 945 are based on new C1 Stepping which is supposed to bring ure TEMP and VOLT down it seems to really work unlike the rest of Pentium Ds like 920 940 950 based on older steping so on....

You can read more about new stepping at http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/pentium-ee-965_4.html
