I am looking for a good 5.1 surround sound setup to use in my room for games, music, and movies; and I came across these speakers.

The Logitech Z-5500 Digital.

What do you guys know about these speakers? Are they any good, and are there any better ones out there?

Also what sound card would you recommend using with these (Right now i am using onboard)

Z-5500 are great set of speakers. I have the same model and combined with X-Fi gives great sound for that price.

It's a good button to use.

I've only heard that the Klipsch suffer from poor amps. I haven't heard if they are good now.

So for $250 (The cheapest you can get the Z-5500), is it worth it to just get the Z or buy a separate speaker/amp setup

What is the difference between all these different x-fi soundcards? which one would pair best with the z-5500

I have these speakers paired up with a xfi extreme music. Let me tell you, they sound awesome. The sub puts out a ton of bass and the speakers are great. Remote control is cool and the control center is very nice for plugging headphones into.

One con though, I have noticed is that when you have them up all the way. The high range gets really harsh and tinny sounding. But I never have them up all the way so its no problem for me.

The XtremeGamer is the new XtremeMusic right? Does the Z-5500 plug in to it, no problems or workarounds?
