Are there any DX10 programs to test with?

Basically I'm suffering from a "CRYSIS" ... I am worried that if I by my 'very nice' computer right now (8800 GTS 320MB, E6400, 2GB ram etc), will not be able to run Crysis... Or other DX10 stuff..

For all I know at the moment, 8800 GTS 320MB might suck donkey nuts at dx10 games... I know its probably not true but, we dont' have any dx10 games yet do we? (I know that SupCom and FlightSimX are going to get patches for dx10)...

I'm running at a lower resolution so hopefully I'm going to be safe awhile (1280x768).

I hate the waiting game.. But damn it seems worth it..... (8600's, R600, 8900's) Stupid hardware just SIT STILL DAMN IT!!

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll have to check it out when I get my computer thanks!

In about a month you can try Halo 2 and then we'll see how the 8800 handles DX10 games.

I'm pretty sure Halo2 is not DX10, Microsoft may be requiring you run it under Vista last I heard, but doubt it utilizes any features not available in DX9.

Nothing stands still. Don't think of it as a waiting game as a best buy. The longer you wait to buy computer hardware, the better deal you're going to get invariably.

I wouldn't even think about DX10 hardware for playing Crysis until you actually get to see some DX10 results. As you said, who really know how the 8800 stacks up against the imminent R600.

I'm waiting to see what is coming down the road myself. Hopefully in about another three months we'll have some definitive answers.

Developers said Crisis will run even on two year old hardware so your card should run it easily.

If you expect to run it max settings 1900x1200 4xAA 16xAF though, you are gonna have to wait until at least a demo is released to find out how it'll run. A demo should be out in 3-4 months.

damn straight! bring on the dx10 and 9 comparisons. enough specualtion already. show the shit!

The first directx10 game will probably be shadowrun, due the end of May. Crysis, bioshock, etc, are a bit further out.
