• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

Are post revisions saved?

I was trying to post a reply to a thread I started and I edited the original post to copy and paste something out. But I accidentally pasted my reply into the edit box and submitted it, replacing the original post with the reply I intended to post.

How are you supposed to contact a mod on here if you need help with something? By posting in here? I was originally going to report my own post and describe the situation, but it says...

Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.

...which didn't fit my situation.

Fortunately in this case I still had the original post in a text file, so I edited it again to restore it.

Are revisions of posts saved in Vbulletin / on this forum specifically? I'm wondering if a mod would've been able to roll the post back to the original version. If so, that could be done now -- as of right now, that post should be in its original, un-edited state. It essentially is after I edited it the second time, but it says edited and it isn't really.

I can see your edits. But I think if you get your edit in before five minutes from the original post it's a stealth and won't show up.

It's okay to report your own post if it needs attention. Like "Oops, double post, can you delete one?" or "Meant to post in the XYZ forum, can you move the thread?" That's a more surefired way than trying to just contact a random mod.
