Are my temps fine ?

Hey everyone,

I wanted some advices regarding my rig and the temps I get with my WC loop.
First of all, nothing is overclocked. Here are the principle specs:
- CPU: Core i7 950 @3.07 GHz
- CGU : Zotac GTX 780, referenced PCB/Frequencies
- MB: Asus Sabertooth X58
- PSU: Corsair AX 850
- Case: Corsair Air 540

Regarding the watercooling pieces:
- CPU: EK supremacy Acetal
- GCU: EK-FC Titan SE Acetal + Nickel
- Tubing: Primochill Primoflex 10/13mm (3/8", 1/2")
- Pump: EK DCP 4.0
- Rads: 1x XSPC 360 mm, 1x XSPC slim 240mm, 1x Alphacool slim 120 mm
- Fans: 6x Noctua NF P12 PWM @1000~1200 RPM (depending the application)
- Liquid cooling: Mayhem white pearl

My temps in idle are:
CPU: 39-40°C
CGU: 29-30°C

In 100% load:
- CPU: 54°C
- CGU: 52°C

To me, the CPU seems to be quite high regarding its frequency. What do you think ?
Also, as you can see, because of the case size, this is an exhaust setup only, therefore, I was thinking to mod the left size panel, in order to fit maybe 4*120 (or 140) mm fans, with their dust filters in order to pull fresh air inside the case.

Please let me know your point of views !
 
Do you have things like C1E and EIST disabled?
 
They are settings inside the bios, and installing a new OS does not change bios settings.

If they are indeed disabled, that would explain your high idle temps, as the CPU is running at full voltage and clock speed the entire time.

Do you thing that adding fans on the side panel would be better ?
 
It looks like you have all your fans on your radiators in the exhaust position. If so, you've got a ton of negative pressure in your case, which is starving your radiators for air. Adding fans for intake will alleviate it somewhat, but I think you should switch some of your fans around to get more airflow moving overall.
 
I'm currently modding my side pannel in order to have 3*140 mm fans to push fresh air into it, going to be better right ?
 
Why not just reverse the direction of the three 120mm's in front and pull air through the radiator there? No modding needed, unless im missing something that is...

It will pull warm air into the case, am I right ? Also, I got these 3*140 from Corsair with the case, that's why I want to use them =)
 
It's not going to be warm enough that it will affect your cooling performance. The cooling gained by additional airflow by having those fans pull air in will most likely offset cooling loss due to higher temperature air.

I'm not sure what your loop order is, but if you have it such that the first radiator to receive the water are your exhaust radiators and the last radiator to receive the water is your intake radiator, and there are no components between the radiators, you would further negate the impact of pulling warm air in.

Additionally, if you add on the 3x140s as well, you'll create a high positive pressure situation in your case, increasing the effectiveness of your exhaust radiators and help keep dust out of your case as a side benefit.

Well, I added 3 fans on the side, and I already lost 5°C on idle on my CPU, it's not around 34-35°C, way better.

I'll try to revert somes fans on my rads to see if there are any differences.
My loop is:
Pump > 240 mm rad > CPU > 120 mm rad > GPU > 360 mm rad > res > pump and so on.
 
If somebody could reply:

Regarding the "complexity" of my loop, should I go for 2 separates loop ? or maybe I should change the current one ?

I noticed that, when the rig is on, there aren't any water movement in the reservoir. Like the water is steady, and I believe that the pump can be not powerful enough for the complete loop.

Also, as you can see my 360mm radiator is upside down, is possible that the water doesn't fill it entirely ? I Mean, are the inlet/oulet separated in order to force the water to goes into the radiator ?

If I have change my pump, which one should I pick for this loop ? Laing D5 ?
