would a 450 wtt inspire psu be good for a 7800gtx/x2 4200/ 2g ram?

no.

with a rig like that the brands you should be looking at are:
Antec and clones
FSP and clones
OCZ
Seasonic
PC P&C

with at least 30A on the 12v rail.

Inspire, Aspire or N'Spire?

If it's N'Spire, it's pretty good. That's the FSP power supplies ASI relabels for their white box builds. ;)

i have an aspire 420w that came with my aspire x-qpack sff case. it powers a stock 3500 venice, 6600gt,2x256mb ram , 1x120mm fan, 1x80mm fan, 2x160gb hdd, 1x floppy, 1x liteon 16x dvdr/w and onboard sound and lan. i think it has around 13a on the 12v rail. havent had any power probs, but i wouldnt trust it to carry more load than it is already doing. i guess there's a reason aspire is not well known for their psu's. great sff case at a great price, tho.

finally broke 12k
