So after consulting the market i've got to choose from:
Gigabyte
HIS
GeCube
Club3D
Powercolor
Asus
MSI
Sapphire
Gainward
Are they all the same(apart from the sticker)? I'm thinking at the memory chips in particular.
Should i wait for the oc versions or for the ones with non-stock cooling?

Barring nifty stickers they put on the cooler, yes.

Right now they're all reference boards. One swith custom cooling and other minor changes should be coming along in about a month, I'd guess.

Thanks for posting this. With all these suppliers who should you buy from?

Visiontek is currently not available in Europe. Thats a list of brands that is available in Europe.
@jstenuf: i like the HIS label design but they offer just 2 years of warranty in comparison with Gigabyte for example who has 3. But then again comes Gigabyte with their crap label design.
My top 3 are for now Powercolor,HIS and Gigabyte(the last usually has very low prices).
At a card that is running so hot i think its a good idea to have the longest warranty possible.

The difference is label and support.

VisionTek still has the best but I'm immensely pissed off at them for not replacing the Geforce Ti4200 with a lifetime warranty that went bust on me because they'd switched camps a couple months before my card died. I was seriously considering contacting the BBB and I really should have: just because the company changes doesnt mean they get to ignore their support commitments.

Thanks for the responses, but it appears that none of these suppliers offer a lifetime warranty.

Who cares about the sticker when the card is upside down in most ATX cases???

I'd buy the best price right now.
All the cards are pretty much made by Sapphire anyway.
If Gigabyte gives you a three year warranty and the lowest price, the choice is obvious.

When was the last time you had a video card for three years??? or two??

My 8800 GTX was the record holder at 16 months.

It's very likely that you will still be using the same videocard three years from now. Maybe not in your main PC, but in some secondary rig or maybe you gave it to a friend etc. Three year warranty or better is always a plus, especially if it doesn't mean paying a premium (<€10). Lifetime warranty would be cool - too bad no manufacturer in the EU market offers this.

Go HIS, nice screw driver tool =P (I got stuck w/ Sapphire...but I'm not complaining)
