I have a syringe of Arctic Silver that has been sitting around for about 5 years. Does this stuff lose some of it's properties after a while or is it good to go? I'm not really worried about buying a new tube, it's the stuff on my components that I would be worried about. I assume it doesn't degrade over time, but this is just an inquiry for someone who may have the answer.

Thanks!

Do not really know, I have not seen any long term studies. I have an NF7-s with a Barton mobile chip that is OCed to an inch of its life with a old Maze 3 waterblock that was installed with AS-3 (? hell might even be the original AS) that is over 5 years old and its operating temps have not changed in any major way.

It will separate in the tube some over time and depending on how the tube is sitting it will either be runny or thicker. You can remix it and it is good to go. But as far as an install goes, unless you see temps do something strange I would not mess with it until there is a need to.

And of course you might want to check the AS site FAQ etc. its been a long time since I read them.

Thanks Bill! I'll try to do some more digging and share anything of interest that I may find.
