Arctic silver or thermal pad ?

I bought the Arctic Cooling Freezer pro 7 and it comes with a thermal pad on it, whats better for overclocking....keeping this pad on or wiping it off and using arctic silver ?

If you have AS5, wipe off the thermal pad and apply some. If you don't have AS5 then the thermal pad will work fine.

At least the thermal pad is preapplied MX-1.

Get either Shin-Etsu X23 or AS MX-2 if you want new pastes. Otherwise stick with the stock it is MX1.

Whats on your Freezer Pro isn't exactly a "pad". Its actually a preapplied square of MX-1. Its good stuff. Give it a try.
