Will using arctic silver on video card memory damage the memory? I'm replacing my heatsink and fan for my card and I would rather use a high quality thermal greese instead of the pads. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks! :p

no, it won't damage the memory. it is however a possibility that you COULD damage the memory (or anything else you apply it to for that matter) if you improperly applied it. this is because as5 is conduction, so the idea is the same no matter where you apply it: put it where you want it, and clean up any mistakes with rubbing alcohol+lint free cloth.

AS5 is Not Electrically Conductive. Taken right from their website:

Arctic Silver 5 was formulated to conduct heat, not electricity.
(While much safer than electrically conductive silver and copper greases, Arctic Silver 5 should be kept away from electrical traces, pins, and leads. While it is not electrically conductive, the compound is very slightly capacitive and could potentially cause problems if it bridges two close-proximity electrical paths.)

maybe "electrically conductive" isn't the name for it, electrically "capacitive" is perhaps a better phrase... morale of the story is the same: it has the potential to short stuff, and could render your hardware useless. so clean up properly and thoroughly, and you won't have any problems. don't let out the magic smoke!
