Arctic Silver ArctiClean Review

Not bad.. Looks like it could be handy.

I'll stick with WD-40 and alcohol for the amount that I need to use it.

That stuff looks amazing... I remember not too long ago people were saying to use a sharp razor blade and scrape the thermal pads etc. off of your heatsinks/CPUs. That stuff would work so much better than that. I'll be looking out for it once I start building systems again for sure. Even if it costed $10-$15 for the kit that'd be quite cheap still. If you get around 100 applications... that'd be well worth it.

Yes, we're actually working together on a few new products, including the upcoming ArctiClean products.

This isn't anything revolutionary...my Akasa TIM-Clean does the same thing and has been out much longer.

Our competitor's TIM Clean product is somewhat similar in nature to the ArctiClean Step 1 in terms of function - degreasing & degunking. Our Step 2 product takes it one step further by removing any residual TIM and solvent (theirs or ours) after the initial degreasing step. The Step 2 also neutralizes, deep cleans, purifies and protects the surfaces to optimize TIM application / re-application. So, yes, their product works somewhat like our Step 1, but they have no Step 2 equivalent at this time.
