Arctic Silver 5 application

Hello,
I was looking on AS's website about application procedures for it, and I noticed that they say put a BB sized amount on the chip, but they dont say what to do with it afterwards... do you leave it there and just put the hsf ontop of it, or do you spread it evenly over the entire core (Pentium 4) ... Can someone tell me which way to do it?

No. 8 answers your question - "Mount the heatsink on the CPU per the heatsink's instructions. Be sure to lower the heatsink straight down onto the CPU".

Did you also do this re: no 4 & 5 ? - "tint the bottom of the heatsink in the area where the CPU will contact it."

Yup, the heatsink will do all the spreading work for you.
