ArcGIS on VDI?

Anyone have any experience with deploying ArcGIS Desktop/Workstation via VMware View? The redraw of the map interface is atrociously slow on a local machine (I am trying to not go off on a rant about the leader in GIS software being unable to code a gfx engine that can draw vectors quickly), I would imagine that it's killer over the network?

So I followed up on this with some folks who had to decide whether to visualize their ArcGIS Desktop boxes and there's been a resounding "Hell NO!". The problem was that the cost of getting reasonable graphic performance out of a VDI solution (for ESRI ArcGIS! gfx performance for many other apps is just fine) exceeded just deploying normal workstations and using old school disk cloning when needed.
