Running MAME 1.05b and mamewah as front end.

Built from the ground up. Machine specs nothing special, just a spare I had laying around.

Can post more pics of build process if interest.

yes it does, i'm running one too. Its being upgraded as we speak. Awesome job! Paint those steel L-brackets though.

That's awesome! You even have a little rubbermaid container to catch the quarters (at least that's what I think its for)!

Aside from the computer itself, how much does it cost to build one of those?

Well i already had the television (10 year old JVC 27"), and the computer and speakers.

Probably spent $500 in materials, buttons, used coin mech, i-pac interface etc.

You'll need a router and special bit to cut the slot for the T-molding, as well as other basic wood tools. Circular saw, Jig-saw, Drill and bits etc.

I'll post pics of the build when i get home tonight.

Wish i got more pictures of the build process, but i just wanted to get it done towards the end.

Gotta have a plan...

And the cutting begins. Almost spent a whole day just cutting all the wood.

I was so excited just to get the side pieces cut.

The base, added the casters. This thing could carry a car!

Screwing the cabinet together, the upper pieces are just temp supports.

Lookin good!

if i did not see inside, I would have thought it was on of the ones I played at the arcade many years ago.

Cool job.

That kicks ass. I've been wanting to build a MAME cabinet for years, one of these days I'll get around to it :)

looks good...ive got those same plans and planning on building mine soon...

That one in just temp. Printed in myself on my inkjet.

You can have them printed at mamemarquees.com

I was planning on printing a new one myself at work on the large format printers.

Nice clean look and I like the fact that you actually built the actual thing yourself.
I was also going to post about a buddy who did the same thing to an old arcade box with a TV and pc inside it running emulators but he beat me to it. Best part for me is that his costs no quarters to play :) and has a place for your beer.

wow, thats incredible, good job man.
