Hey guys,

is there a particular reason that this HBA is so hard to find?
Just one person here seems to use it and i was not able to find any reviews...

It looks nice - 16 internal and 8 external ports...

So i am slightly confused about this controller capabilities...

I took a look at the datasheet and it states:

Serial ATA 6Gb/s (Direct Attach Only)
a little further down:
Direct Attach No, Expander onboard (for this particular model with 16+8 ports)

So is the direct attach "no" referring to the fact that the drives are not attached directly but through an expander - and can i daisy chain expanders?

Or - does that mean that i cant attach SATA drives to this conrtoller ?:confused:
