Aquagate mini

there's more information on the cooler master forums - there's a thread on CEBIT coverage and on about the 30th page there's some coverage on the aquagate mini - check it out for more info (CM CEBIT coverage )

acc. to one of the co's spokesmen,

For your info, we tested it with a LGA775 (3.6Ghz) and we had a temp of 28°C. Cool.... Aquagate mini is da bomb!!!!!!!

Looks promising, if those temps aren't lying, then this mini WC system will be wicked.

i really have a hard time trusting those spin-doctors on the CM forums.

somehow i really doubt that this thing is going to out-perform a DIY watercooling system.

There was a review on the front page a few days ago. Didn't seem to perform that great. I think they only compared it to an SLK 800 or something.

No doubt.

Isn't this a preview of the new Intel super dooper retail boxed cooling system? ;) :D

I have seen these on various Chinese and Japanese sites for a couple of months now. I didn't think any one was silly enough to actually market it though. But the mass market is way different than what we do as [H]

actually its supposed to retail for $99 :O
Straight from an email Coolermaster sent me:
"The MSRP for 120mm version will be $99, and 80mm version will be $89."

Seems like the perfect thing for people with a sff case who want to go wc.

It's also friggin' cheap! After some reviews hit the net in April and May, I'll seriously consider one of these.

yea i want to seriously consider it. i really cant afford $300 wc. all i want is a quiet cpu and marginally lower temps than what i got now. or to be more clear, a WC setup that keeps the same idle temps of bout 34c and mid-low 40s at load. just to get a TAD bit more. but noise is my true enemy which brings me to the point that the review i DID read, said there is a hum you notice from the pump. GAAAAHHHH

anyhoo, i wouldnt necessarily call it sumthin for lil ol SFF users (especially with the 120mm fan setup) but its something kinda of aimed at a person like myself. only they went one step further to solidify the position of it being "first time users be happy!" by making it prefilled etc.

mostly, i like it cuz its meant to not take up much space, and you mount the radiator internally. thats awesome. heh plus one review i read actually set it up in a LL v1000, which was perfect for me. context if everything!
