I really like the aqua computer 6800 block, however I noticed that it says it is machined completely out of aluminum. Isn't mixing aluminum and copper in a WC system a bad idea because of corrosion?

Not really a bad idea at all. Sure, having only copper in the loop would be more preferable, but with aluminium you just add an anti-corrosive to the water and it should stop any problems. So basically, you can prevent the corrosion so if its in the right price-area and you like it, why not pick one up? :)

^^Exactly.

Just add some antifreeze/watter wetter/hydrix/<insert other popular WC additive here> to your loop and it will be fine.

its anodized well, meaning that there is a rather thick oxide layer between the Aluminium and water passing thru.

Also, get the second revision, it's got a sorta spring-loaded core, so any unevenness in RAM placing doesn't lift the cooler off of the CPU.
