Working on water cooling project and could use some advice.

Comp specs

neo2 plat
fx53
6800gt
2 gig ram

WC specs

Aqua computer parts (soon to be purchased)

3/8 ID
Cpu/gpu/chipset water blocks
2 aquatubes(res.)
evo 240 (dual 120)
Aquastream pump
aquero(eventually--heard you can overclock pump with it)

Dan has been a lot of help, and I can't wait till he gets his shipment in! The pump/radiator should be strong enough to support the preceding hardware. I'm a little confused how I'm going configure the loop with 2 aquatubes with only one pump/radiator (I'm sure it can be done). I am mostly building this computer for looks. That said, I like the look of 2 aquatubes. Overclocking will be moderate.

I really like fall guy's setup. His 2 loop setup looks nice. I dont have a problem spending the money for the extra pump/radiator, but I only want to if it's absolutely necessary.

Can it be done? What ya think?

Thanks in advance. Btw this forum is great, been reading along for quite a few months. With my new WC project I feel "worthy" of posting...

I just wanted to respond b/c I have the exact same system =)

And I used aquacomputer watercooling too....still waiting for my amd 64 adapter for my evo block though so I can use it again....and that new dtek pump thing.

The Aquastream to my knowledge should be able to handle two reservoirs... they don't create much resistance and the pump is pretty powerful for it's size, especially if you had the aquaero "overclock" .

How you configure your loop is really based on how you want your case to look and where you want the reservoirs to be mounted. As has been said before, loop structure really doesn't vary temps noticably, so you're probably fine with whatever component order that fits inside your case best.

With one pump I would keep it a single loop. Other than that, looks good! You will be impressed with how well it looks and performs.

dude wire the res' in parallel, that way you'll get very little restriction from them. i am getting that res too and i'm concerned about flow rates, so i was debating on getting two of them and wiring them in parallel so that my pump draws from BOTH of them at the same time.

i'd do it so that it goes from the rad to a splitter, then one line to each res, then to another splitter to bring them back to 1 line.

Hey guys,

Thanks a bunch for the the replies!

I will be going with 2 aquatubes in my single loop. I will probably just daisy chain them together[like devilpup said](one on top of case, other in front). I can't wait till Dan gets his shipment in. I look forward to building this thing, I think it will look pretty damn impressive. I have put a lot of money in visual mods as well... Work log will be interesting.

thx again for the reply. I was really looking forward to everyone's advice.

Hey guys i just wanted you all to know that im doing the mods to the snt AC gear for high flow, ask Dan about the moded resi's and such.

So, you're modding the aquatubes etc for 1/2" ID? good deal, I have 3/8 but I know there's a lot of people that would get the aquatube if they were compatible with 1/2"... :)
