Is either one more efficient to run? For example... in SOF2 you could apply AA from within the game. Is this typically better or is there any difference at all?

I would think it would just depend on how varied the system requirements of your games are. If you play mostly quake3 or older based games, you can just set the aa/af to forced in the display settings, so it will be the same for all games.

If you want to play ..say a newer unreal based game and get slowdown with higher aa/af, its best to use application setting and set it on a per-game basis.

though i believe the omega drivers allow you to easily set options per game.

what I mean is there a difference in performance if forced or applied in app.
