Apple's return policy

I noticed apple has a 10 day refund policy. Meaning if you contact them within 10 days of receiving the package you can return it and get a refund. Does this come with a 10% restocking fee as well, or any other hidden fees? That seems pretty dumb because if I was to buy their 23" display I would have to pay them $200 to take it back, and its impossible to find a phone number to call on the apple website.

Thanks for your help.

Ben,

here is the number from .com Apple Sales Support at 1-800-676-2775

http://www.apple.com/contact/

what you got planning? you thinking about the apple after all to go along side the sony?

I dont see how they can get out of the 10day return, since its in there terms and conditions on there web page, just thought tho that terms url i posted last night, was from uk apple so I would make sure the terms are the same for the store on your side of the pond im sure they will be.

p.s. just got in after a nightmare 15hour shift "veritas clustering" is the hate statement of the day, GOD why did i pick a job with computers!

I also would be interested to hear if anyone in the UK has returned any apple product within the 10day period that was purchased from the online Uk Apple store, did you have any problems?

I am hoping i wont want to return mine, but its going to have to be something special for the size of the dent its put in my credit card.

You know, sounds like from your previous posts that you're trying to pick a fight with the Apple LCD crowd...

I got my Apple from Amazon.com. I returned it to Amazon and they didn't charge me a restocking fee or shipping, because I had complained to them that "the item was defective" - it had a stuck green pixel on there. I also listed the other reasons I was returning the Apple but in Amazon.com's case "incompatibility with my current system" would have cost me return shipping so I argued that it had a bad pixel =P. I don't recommend purchasing much of anything directly from the manufacturer since they usually have the worst return policies. Find a good vendor with return policies that you like as opposed to buying it straight from Apple.

If you want to complain about Apple's return policy please read the Sony SDM234's manual and note where it says on the top of page 4:

"Please note that the LCD screen is made with high precision technology. However, black points or bright points of light (red, blue, or green) may appear constantly on the LCD screen, and irregular colored stripes or brightness may appear on the LCD screen. This is not malfunction. (Effective dots: more than 99.99%)"
