Something's not right with this photo. I just can not put my finger on it....

Who the hell still needs to plug their iPhone into a computer of any kind? Seriously. Everything is done via wifi.

o_O
The uproar on these forums really underscores the reality that, despite Android based phones' claims to the contrary, their battery life is shit so they think phones still need to be tied to a power source whenever you use them for an extended time.

The hilarious part is that these guys are so far behind the times in terms of what these products present to their users that they don't even know there is no need for an iPhone when you're sitting in front of your MacBook. You can make/receive calls, texts, video chat, any thing that shows up on your phone is transparently carried over to the MacBook. That's ignoring that all the syncing and updating is done wirelessly now and has been done wirelessly for years.

Says a person who has never used it.

Says a person who has typed on the Macbook keyboard extensively, which is - according to the actual Apple announcement - a marginally improved version of the same keyboard.

The problem is that Apple makes BOTH products, this isn't two different companies making two different products with incompatible connectors. Apple announced them within a month or so of each other, it's not like Apple didn't know it was going this route, and it's not a case of a new MacBook Pro not connecting to a old iPhone 3 - 4.

So you mean to tell me that there was no way to make sure both recently announced products ($2,500 for the MacBook Pro and the iPhone 7 is $600 - $1000) could be connected together right out of the box without hitting consumers up for an additional $25?
Ofc there is they could have paired the cord with the phone easily but that would cut into profits instead of the other way around! Cuz we SmartZ

Yeah, but stuff and things.

And stuff.

And ports.
