Just noticed that Apple has a new lease program. Fully prepared to hate on it and cite it as another "you vill eat ze bugs"... I did the maths on it and yeah, I honestly cannot find fault in it.
MacBook Air 15inch with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage is $43.96 per month for 36 months ($1582.56) and around $1500 total ownership for 24 months of lease. You obviously have to turn it back in at the end and then you get a new device and pay the new lease term I believe. For personal usage? Eh... maybe? For professional use? Oh yeah, I could see this being a hit.
If you like upgrading your machines and staying current then (for now at least) your costs are lower.
