Apple TV 2 (a classic??

I recently upgraded my Apple TV 2 box to an ATV3 based solely on wanting full HD on my office TV. I was about to list my ATV2 on Ebay and noticed that they are fetching more than what I paid for my new ATV3.

Is this due to jailbreak-ability? What am I missing?

Yes, because you can JB and install XBMC etc on it where the ATV3 can't yet (ever? who knows)
