According to the Crucial website, it has 2 RAM slots and takes DDR 333. I don't have much experience with Macs but does it absolutely HAVE to take Mac/Apple Compatible RAM or will any DDR 333 ram work from say, Corsair, Kingston or A-Data?

Thanks in advance.

You can buy just about any brand. Recommend going to Newegg's site and using their memory configuration tool. You can put up to 1.25gb in that laptop (256mb is not removable) so I recommend a 1gb stick. I have the same thing in my Pb 12".

no, you max out at 2x 1gb on that model. I know, I have one with 2x1gb crucial in it.

Do beware though, that you may suffer from a bad lower memory slot, like many other powerbook owners.
