Apple CD 30" vs Apple CD 27" vs U3011

Ok I have a 3011 being delivered tomorrow, however I am not convinced on keeping it just yet. I will see how it performs. Before that though I have some questions especially for people who had both of these monitors.

First time I saw the 30" Apple CD, I fell in love with it. I thought it was the brightest clearest monitor I have ever seen. Than they stopped making them. Now they make the 27inch version.

Over all my needs.
1) 30 inches, and 16:10, I already have a 27 16:9 and I really like the 16:10 aspect ratio.
2) Connectivity, I have a MBPr and I would like to be able to connect my MBPr and my current PC to the same monitor.
3) Glossyness. I like glossy monitors, we will see how I fel with agressive AG tomorrow.

Overall what are your thoughts. Is a 30inch used Apple CD worth the 900-1100 investment ( for a good one). Is the technology in that device behind times? Is the U3011 better?
How does the 27inch Apple display come in to this discussion? Would be worth it for me to force my self back to 16:9?

Wait for the u3014 coming out in Feb/March. If you like glossy monitors, the AG may bother you -- the u3011 is designed for well lighted business environments and hence has a matte coating.

The u3014 model coming out next year in Feb/March will have a much lighter coating - I plan on purchasing one upon release. My take is, I hate glossy monitors more than I hate matte - i've gotten
used to matte coatings and it doesn't bother me. With that said, the size difference between 27 and 30 is absolutely _huge_ and I would easily take a 30" 2560x1600 screen over a 27" IPS anyday; with
that being the case i'd wait for the 3014.

The 30" is very old, technology-wise. I think NCX recently said that the panels in those date back to 2008.

I recently "inherited" a 30" Apple Cinema Display and while it's big, it's definitely old school LCD tech, and the thing generates enough heat to make me worry about radiation poisoning.
