Apple 23" Cinema Display for Gamming?

I was wondering if anyone knows what games would be like on Apple's new 23" Cinema Display. I have my suspicions that you would have a pretty bad ghosting effect. Not to mention the fear that the games would be all pixilated & stretched out. What do you guys think?
 
Last time I played with one I found it a bit slow for games. Ghosting and image persistance was just not good...but that's just an opinion. Try the HP.

What is time? Time is the thing that keeps shit from happening all at once ;)

BillR, are you speaking of the new Cinema HD Displays?

I don't see why they should be bad at all... hell, they should be perfect. 1920x1200 resolution with 400:1 ratio, and 16ms response times. The old displays were crap compared to these.
 
Where I live there isn't an Apple store on the little Apple section in my college bookstore, but who knows when they'll have it.
 
Go for the HP L2335... its the same panel as the new apple lcd's, less $$$, and has component, s-video, and composite inputs for other devices.... oh did i forget to say that it has picture in picture?! :p
 
We had a Dually G5 with a 23" theatre display at my Last LAN - the video backing it was a 9600 pro, so that was really the only bottleneck. It was smooth as heck and having no idea what the response time was, I didn't notice anything differnt other than it being freaking huge !

They are nice displays - spendy as hell, but nice.

Yeah, the new cinema displays have the 16ms response time as someone stated above, so there'll be waaaaay less ghosting. The new displays also have better dot pitch.

But then there's the HP displays too. It's up to you I guess.

I'll be running my display on a ATI Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition. Hopefully with this I won't have any bottlenecks with whatever display I decide upon.
 
Though I'm not sure if that ATI card supports DDC technology for widescreen viewing (which is required for Apple's display).
