Is there an app available to control case fan speeds? I really only need my case fans when I game, otherwise it runs great without the extra noise. it'd be nice to just turn them on when needed.

If the fans are connected to the motherboard, SpeedFan should allow you to control them. If they're connect straight to the power supply with a molex connector, you'll need a separate fan controller.

+1 for SpeedFan; I have used it for years.
 
speedfan ftw. u can even set max speed, so if you dont need them at full blast while ur gaming...

i run my fans at 40% at idle and 60% full load. i love how quiet my computer is.

Does anyone make a fan controller that can be controlled by the system? (via USB?) That is software-compatible with Win 7, including Win 7 64, of course!
