Apogee GTX Mounting Question

I'll be ordering one of these to replace my Original Apogee water block. I am curious as to wether I can just remove the water block and install the GTX with the already existing mounting screws ? I took a look at the original specs of the Apogee and compared them to the installation instructions for the GTX. The only difference between the mounting hardware is that the GTX comes with 6-32 x 1 3/8 screws where as the ones im using with the Apogee are 6-32 x 1 1/2. Does anyone know if I need to use the included screws with the GTX ? Will it have an impact on performce ?
