APEVIA X-QPACK2 PSU???

Does anyone know whether or not the included PSU with the X-QPACK2 is reliable? I plan on building a SFF system with that case, I'm just not sure whether or not to upgrade the power supply. The included supply has 1 pci-e plug and is 500W and seems sufficient, but then again it is an included PSU. If it helps any, here's the components I plan to use.

C2D E6320
ASUS P5B-VM
EVGA 8600GTS
2 HDDs

If the included PSU is indeed unworthy, any suggestions of a high quality PSU that will fit would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
wattage means nothing. it's an apevia psu, enough said.

enermax liberty is a good choice, but if you don't mind going with a regular sized atx psu you have many more options.

I have had 2 YoungYear built Apevia 500w powersupplies here. Not the one with the 120mm fan (daul 80's) but the youngyear/apevia specs for their units to date violate ATX spec in load regulation and ripple. So, yeah its a pass.

I do remember that the older Aspire PSUs had severe problems on the +12V (often dipping below 11.5 under load). I just hope this one's any different, but I'm not holding my breath.
 
We will have to see in the days ahead. Since the case just made its debut, I have yet to know if the PSU will have many returns. It's not 'ultra-light' as the original xqp psu was though...
