Sorry guys this might sound like a newb question to some of you, but does anyone know what AGP Aperture size is in the BIOS? Mine is currently set at 64MB. However my ti4200 is a 128MB card. Should i change this setting to 128MB, or it something different entirely? Just wondering, thanks.

Your AGP aperture should be either 64 or 128MB in size, though, with a 128MB card I doubt you'll see any difference - It isn't physical memory in use, just space for allocation in the event that the card needs it... Depending on how you game, it very well may not.

Try setting it to 128MB and running some benchies to see if that gets you anywhere... I wouldn't go any higher than that.

If I remember correctly, the aperture size deals with a contingency that the video card's memory becomes overloaded and can't handle everything. In that case, the set aperture size refers to the amount of system memory that is diverted from the RAM to help with the video card.

That's how it was explained to me a long time ago. I'm sure someone else can give you a far better answer than I.

if u have over 256 or more ram then set it to 128....if u have less that 256 set it to half ur system ram and no more.

Rule of thumb...dont ste it above 128.

I've heard of some compatability problems with higher than 128.

Besides its really unlikely youll see any differance.
