APC BackUPS 1500XS owners inside please

I have an APC 1500XS UPS and notice that it gets rather warm to the touch on the sides, near the top expecially toward the front. Do any of you notice the same thing?

I don't have that model, but several APC SU 1000 and 1400's and they have warm areas on them, the Powerchute software should tell you what the internal temperature is so you can see if it's too warm, right now mine are about 89.5 F.

Thanks for your reply. I never installed the APC software. The UPS works fine - no problems with it, but I was a little concerned about parts of it being very warm. I'm not sure if it did this since new or not - I think I just noticed now.

fine isn't warm but it should be ok...I would install the software by the way.

Which APC software are you using? Because I use just the Personal Edition software and I have a APC 1000XS and I have never seen any temperature mentioned in the program.
