Apache Reverse Proxy with SSL

I run a reverse proxy with no issues to access my media servers easily.

Config: http://www.seandion.info/dockers/proxy-config.conf

My question is a lot of the media servers have built in SSL capabilities. Is it better connect to my proxy over HTTPS than go have my proxy direct me to the HTTP version I have running right now or run each service as HTTPS. If it is the later I'm not sure how to change my config and would like some assistance.. thanks!
