hello:
I am trying to build a 754 2800 system with aopen n250a-fr4 board.
when i put memore (ddr 400) in slot 1 (nearest to cpu) and power up the cpu comes on and then the whole system dies with a single long beep . when I move the memory to other slot the same thing happens but with no beep.
I have tried another brand memory and the same thing happens.
another mystery is the beep itself has to from a speker on the mb itself since i did not connect any speaker.
tthe bios is supposed phoenix bios. The mb documentation does not mentiion this single beep.
The mb is refurbished. any clues to the problem? is it mb or the cpu?
