Aopen PG80/DVD card question

Hi-

I picked up a Aopen PG80/DVD video card at a swap meet the other day. It plugs into the AGP slot- however my mobo is running a 4xAGP. While not positive, I'm pretty sure this video card is probably a 1x AGP.....

It seems to me that there is some sort of incompatibility between 1x AGP and the higher speeds- I think it's related to the voltages present on the slot. Am I right in this and that trying to run this card on my mobo would be a bad idea?

Edit- nevermind, found out that 1x and 4x won't work.....
