Wondering if anyone thinks it would be an OK card. I know Aopen doesn't have a great rep, but what do you think?

AOpen isn't that bad a brand. Their are far worse. BTW don't listen to anyone who tells you that they are all the same. There are several manufacturers, not that all brands are manufactured by a different company, but there are still several manufacturers that make boards for several brands. Some have shitty caps and some part from the standard reference cooler, which is sometimes good and sometimes not.

Why not spring a few extra $ and get a more well known brand? but that said, they probably just buy the boards off NVidia directly and re-sticker them eg. My MSI. I'm not sure but i think BFG is selling GTs with NV5's on them so a few extra $ in that way might go a long way.

The reason I want the Aopen is because I can buy it locally for $540 Canadian. That is the best price I can find on the net too, and when I buy locally I have a piece of mind that I can return the card if something is wrong, so I don't have to spend tons of money transporting the card across the country back to British Columbia or Ontario (I live on the extreme east coast).

I'll go for it unless they can order me a BFG, eVGA, Leadtek, MSI or XFX for the same price or cheaper.

Why buy online? Have you gone to Canadacomputers.com
Or better yet if u don;t like canadacomputers go check some azn plazas that sell computer parts. Most often you might even be able to bargain.

As I said, I live on the extreme east coast of Canada (in the province of Nova Scotia). My residence is a few thousand kilometers from Toronto, where Canadacomputers is located. So it isn't feasible to go that far just to buy computer parts, obviously. That would be like driving from New York to Miami just to buy computer parts, not going to happen.

However I found a decent retailer in Halifax, NS. Which is about 100km from my house. www.greenlyph.com
They seem to have good prices, so I think I'll start buying from them instead of ordering all the way from BC.
