Anybody know if these are considered "budget" monitors, a.k.a. crap? I bought an ASUS but have to return it due to a design flaw, and BenQ doesnt have the features I need. I know Acer is basically junk, but never heard of AOC and have only occasionally seen viewsonic around.
 
No screen is perfect, comparing brands instead of products is superficial.

Um, no. Certain companies pride themselves on using superior components while others just ship out the cheapest possible thing to qualify without getting sued. Brands like Acer have tremendous light bleed around the edges, terrible viewing angles, sometimes even ghosting even at their claimed 1ms response times, the list goes on. Certain brands are simply not to be trusted.
