Looks like they are getting slammed, I can't get a key out of the system yet, but some people are reporting success after repeating.

Did you just get the key now? Still not getting one through. Think Ive refreshed them in IE and Firefox for about 30minutes now.

More than two from what I understand.

Closed, Open, PvP (PvP weekend or something?) and Tech.

dont get your hopes up too much for this beta, its super limited and really just a stress test for the servers.

Heh, enjoy ya'lls 22+ hour download PLUS additional 1-2 hours for downloading all the patches/updates. :)

didnt take me too long, previously downloaded the torrent because i new i was going to get in the beta somehow or another, and updates only took about 20minutes at 700kbs

Open to _EVERYONE_ or just paying subscribers? I can't seem to find a signup link for non-paying subscribers anywhere :(

To clear some of the stuff on betas out there.

Tech Beta: People used only to test a few things, but they required a lot of people to hammer the system at once. Covered under NDA.

PVP Beta: Was a weekend event, no NDA on it.

Open Beta: Originally through fileplanet for paid subscriptions only. It had an NDA but the day it started Funcom said, screw the NDA tell everyone how you feel, good or bad. Only to level 13.

Closed Beta: Covered by NDA. Old tech testers and other closed beta testers. Covered by NDA. Can level to 80.

I spent about 15 minutes in game last night. All the typical MMO stuff seems apparent. Questionable animation quality, mindless button tapping, etc.

I was impressed with the range of slider tweaks for character appearance, and by the wealth of audio/video settings in the game. I just sort of lost interest when I actually got in game... go figure.
