Hi all, just new to the forums.

Im on my path to buying a new LCD and I have come into a few probs,

First: I dont live in America (NewEgg out of the Question)
Second: Samsung, Dell Monitors and Hyundai L90D+ cost around $1,050
Thirdly: I dont know what brands are good apart from those.

So as you can see, living at the bottom of the world sorta sucks.

I have very few GOOD brands to choose from, most are really cheap deals coming from taiwan, with names like PolyView and CMV. The only one that sort of stands out is AOC.

A friend of mine has a LM722A and hes pretty happy with it despite how sort of old it is. Their best, well priced 19" has a response of 16ms with 450:1 Contrast, now comparing the price of $515 NZD, to the Hyundai L90D+ ($491NZD if I had the ability to purchase from NewEgg) i sort of feel that i am wasting my money whatever I do. :(

So does anyone have experience with the sort of new AOC monitors, or any other well priced brand (NZDollar please)? :confused:

I'm not sure about prices in your area, but AOC is a popular oem lcd among distributors. I've seen 3 of them and bought one myself and all 4 of them were flawless. There were no dead pixels, or any obvious abnormalities. Of course, I might have been lucky too....
